The Playground is the Life for Me by Olga Martinez

Playground
All around – its children cheer!

The playground gives them courage
What can't they do?
How far will they go?
To laugh, to climb, to shout down below

Shapes and sizes the playground comes alive
It chases the fearless and caters to the curiosity
A baby stares at a toddler as the toddler gazes at the older ones
Yet the playground makes them equals and is an instant friend-maker

"I just found the sparkle!" one child cries out
The sparkle of the playground is all about and kisses the imagination of its children

Carefree and daring - the playground is the life for me

  1. It sounds like you're still a kid at heart, Olga. I love the "sparkle" in the playground and in this poem.
